Kick for Children with Cancer
May - July 2010
Kick for Children with Cancer is a national sponsored football event, raising money for CLIC Sargent, the children’s cancer charity... And, they're looking for local clubs, schools and groups to get involved!
This year they hope to raise £150,000 to support children with cancer and their families and want 100,000 children taking part. Schools, clubs and groups can choose to keep 25% of the money they raise with 75% going to support CLIC Sargent.
What does taking part involve?
Kick for Children with Cancer takes place from May to July.
The event can be as big or small as you like. It could be a penalty shoot out, a keepy-uppy challenge or a beat the goalie competition – with you in goal!
You could hold it on your sports day or during your end of season competition. You could also get the whole school or club involved with your own World Cup competition. top of page
Who can take part?
All children can get involved. It is a great way to get active and healthy and support children with cancer. The event is suitable for boys and girls of all ages and ability and we are encouraging all schools, youth football clubs and after school clubs and groups to get involved. top of page
