Swim 21
Swim 21 is the Amateur Swimming Association’s accreditation program.
Swim 21 helps clubs function in the most efficient way. It is all about good practice in the development of players, coaches, umpires and administrators at all levels. Most clubs find that the Swim 21 process highlights all the good development work they are already doing!
Any club can work towards the scheme and many clubs will already be well on the way to achieving Swim 21, it will just be a case of getting the paperwork together which Elaine can help with.
Swim21 establishes procedures such as job descriptions, codes of conduct, a club development plan, club handbook, actions to follow in emergencies.
There are 13 swimming clubs in Cornwall. Three have already achieved swim 21 accreditation, and many of the others are working towards this.
