Ticketshare Sport Makers Cornwall

If you are a participant in Sport England's Sport Makers and Sportivate programmes and meet the criteria set out below, then you are eligible for Sport England's London 2012 Ticketshare tickets!
   

By 1st May 2012 Sport Maker participants:

  • Must have completed a minimum of 10 hours of volunteering that has helped increase adult participation in sport.

By 1st May 2012 Sportivate participants:

  • Must have completed at least five of the six weekly coaching sessions, and
  • Must still be participating in sport three months after completing the six weekly coaching sessions.


WHAT IS THE LONDON 2012 TICKETSHARE SCHEME? 
The London 2012 Ticketshare scheme will distribute Olympic and Paralympic tickets to many people who would not normally have access to the Games. Tickets are funded through a levy on London 2012 Prestige Ticketing hospitality packages. People and groups that will be eligible for tickets will be: children and young people from London and around the UK whose schools and colleges are part of the Get Set network, the British Olympic Association, the British Paralympic Association, Sport England, Sport Northern Ireland, sportscotland, Sport Wales, and servicemen and women and their families through 'Tickets for Troops'.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR SPORT ENGLAND'S LONDON 2012 TICKETSHARE TICKETS?
You will need to provide your name, postal address and phone number to be eligible for London 2012 Ticketshare tickets, so that we can send your tickets to you if you are successful. Your details will not be put to any other use. For this purpose only your details will be shared with Sport England, LOCOG, Sport Structures (contracted evaluators of the Sportivate programme) and Byng Systems (contracted supplier of Sport Makers website). Successful participants will also have their data shared with their local County Sports Partnership for the purpose of publicity opportunities only, and they will contact you directly first.

CAN I APPLY FOR TICKETSHARE TICKETS THROUGH OTHER LONDON 2012 TICKETSHARE PARTNERS AND INITIATIVES?
Sport Maker and Sportivate participants may receive a London 2012 Ticketshare ticket from one of London 2012 Ticketshare stakeholder/partner organisations/initiatives. Should this be the case, they will not be entitled to a second ticket from Sport England's Ticketshare allocation.

WHAT SPORTS WILL THE TICKETS BE FOR?
Across the London 2012 Ticketshare scheme there will be tickets for sessions in all 26 Olympic sports and 20 Paralympic sports.

HOW MANY TICKETS WILL I RECEIVE?
Tickets will be allocated in pairs.

 WHAT AGE DO THE RECIPIENTS NEED TO BE?
The London 2012 Ticketshare scheme is mainly for young people. If the participant is  16 or under they must be accompanied by a responsible adult i.e in a pair of tickets one is for the participant and the other for the accompanying adult

WHO WILL COVER THE COST OF TRAVEL TO THE GAMES?
There is no charge for the tickets, which include a Games Travelcard to use within zones 1-9 of the London public transport network. Transport outside London and accommodation must be paid for by the ticket recipients.

WHO IS PAYING FOR THE TICKETS?
Tickets are funded through a levy on London 2012 Prestige Ticketing hospitality packages.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I CANNOT GET THERE ON THE DAY?
Please let Sport England know by sending an email to ticketshare@sportengland.org  Please do this as early as possible so that Sport England can reallocate the tickets to other Sport Makers and Sportivate participants.

CAN I CHOOSE TICKETS I WOULD LIKE?
You will be allocated tickets randomly and will not be able to choose the sports or sessions.

HOW MANY TICKETS ARE FOR WHEELCHAIR ACCESS SEATS IN EACH OF THE VENUES?
There will be a limited number of wheelchair access seats allocated to London 2012 Ticketshare. There will also be limited wheelchair storage. You will need to let us know if you would like a wheelchair access seat.

WILL I GET AN OLYMPIC OR PARALYMPIC TICKET?
Sport England has been allocated London 2012 Ticketshare tickets to both the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. Tickets will be allocated via a random ballot.

WHICH SPORT WILL I GET TICKETS FOR?
You could receive a ticket for any of the 26 Olympic or 20 Paralympic sports.
