Successful back to netball sessions in Cornwall
A successful 5 weeks of netball coaching through June has seen 49 ladies regularly getting back into netball. Ladies from across Cornwall attended the Tuesday evening sessions held at Truro College.
The programme was designed to help people get back into the game to remind them how enjoyable the game of netball is. Everyone attending had not played netball for a number of years, since they were at school.
The sessions were organised by Cornwall Netball Development Officer, Natasha Howard and coached by Emily Yates from Truro College and St Austell Netball Club. Emily said: “the ladies have been fantastic, so enthusiastic and they have improved tremendously in such a short time.
“The sessions were fun and sociable whilst also being educational, the players now have a much better understanding of the game and are fitter too!”
All players attending have been given information on local netball clubs should they wish to continue playing.
