Organisers of Cornwall's first sports conference are advising to book soon!
Places are filling fast for a brand new conference, which will deliver expert advice and guidance to all those who work and volunteer in sport, so the organisers are recommending that interested attendees book soon.
Organised by the Cornwall Sports Partnership, the conference will take place on Sunday April 26 at Truro College from 9.30am to 4.30pm. As the first event of its kind, and with an exciting line-up of informative and innovative workshops on offer, it’s all set to be a huge hit with the sporting community.
Opening the event as key note speaker will be leading mind coach, Dr Karl Morris. With clients including Red Bull and Volvo, and golfers Darren Clarke, Lee Westwood and Paul McGinley, he will be discussing his cutting edge methods of goal achievement and providing a range of practical and applicable tools for performance breakthrough.
Together with an interactive Market Place, a variety of workshops will be taking place throughout the day, led by a number of inspirational speakers sharing their experience, tips and insight.
Conference organiser, Natasha Howard from the Cornwall Sports Partnership, explains: “Our main aim for the conference is to deliver an event that supports, inspires and promotes club and coaches in Cornwall.
Designed specifically to help those working and volunteering in sport to take a new approach to excellence in club and coach development, it’s an important step forward for Cornish sport.
“Due to the great line up, we’ve received a fantastic amount of interest so far but still have a few places left, so anyone looking to attend should act fast to avoid missing out!”
Booking on to the event costs £20, which includes lunch and refreshments, and can be processed through the Cornwall Sports Partnership website. The deadline for bookings is Friday March 27.
