Cornwall Corporate Games - get your team in!

Cornwall Corporate Games 2008

No matter how big your company - anyone can take part in the CORNWALL CORPORATE GAMES!

Newquay will be the corporate sport capital of the UK as it gets set to host Cornwall’s largest and newest multi sport festival for buisness's of every type and size.

Tiny or tremendous, every business, organisation or institution can enter one participant or several into the Cornish Games – sporting competitions for the everyday athlete.  There are no restrictions on entry and friends, family and clients can be included in the team.

There are already several teams entered from the region – and with sport on the business agenda in many offices and workplaces, it is little surprise that the Games is becoming such a popular event.  Billed as the ultimate blend of sport, business and tourism, the Games is a working example of Cornwall leading the region in team building, corporate responsibility, fitness and health at work, and great team morale.

Mihir Warty, Sport England Director of Policy and Performance said: “Sport has an important role to play in creating a healthy and active workforce. We would encourage all employers to consider including sport in any healthy workplace initiatives for their staff. Innovative projects such as these can help to make sport a key part of everyday life for more people."

Everyone and anyone who can lift a golf club, hit a tennis ball or paddle a Bell Boat should not miss this once in a lifetime chance to be part of sports history in Cornwall. Restaurants, hairdressers, taxi drivers, police and fire services, council workers, and the corner shop – can all enter.

“Nowhere else is there the range of sports, activities, networking contacts and fun in a single weekend than at the Games, we really want as many small to medium-sized companies to enter.  We have special Championship Divisions based on number of entries created to ensure that no matter the size of the team there is a great chance for every one of to win one of the prestigious sports awards of the Games and also take home a medal or two.” explains Project Director Gemma Godfrey.

Its easy to enter the Games and there is still plenty of time as entries do not close until the end of August.
