An international cutting-edge rugby-focused sports medicine conference

Organised by Dr Joanna Bowtell and Dr Adam Reuben, this two day conference will be led by an elite line-up of speakers from the world of rugby and beyond. It will provide cutting-edge research on all aspects of sports medicine and will combine lectures and workshops in an interactive format.

• An update on concussion research andmanagement
• Nutrition to support injury recovery
• Novel techniques in elite rehabilitation
• Advances in tendinopathy management
• The athletic heart
• Player biometrics and lower limb injury
• Sports psychology
• Injury surveillance

Learning outcomes:
• Develop an understanding of the role for sports science in preventing and treating musculoskeletal injury
• Learn about the latest developments of concussion management and the practical implications of managing concussion at elite level
• Hear first-hand accounts from sports practitioners who operate at the highest level both nationally and internationally
• Gain an understanding of the art of the possible with respect to rehabilitation of the professional sports person
