Sports Awards 10
We are now inviting nominations for the 2010 Cornwall Sports Awards which will be staged at the Esplanade Hotel in Newquay on Friday 12th November.
This prestigious event, staged for the first time in 2006, has been designed to recognise and honour the contributions made by dedicated sports Coaches, Officials, Clubs, Volunteers and Young Leaders from across the county.
The three categories incorporate 12 separate Awards which include Club of the Year, Children’s Coach of the Year and Lifetime Services to Sport.
This year’s ceremony has been designed to build on the success of last year's event.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the successes of sports, clubs, coaches and volunteers throughout the county” said Natasha Howard, Club Development Officer.
“Anyone can make a nomination, with no limit on the number of nominations that can be made by an organisation or an individual, although clubs or individuals must be based in Cornwall. I would also encourage people to put forward anyone they may have nominated in previous years”.
Winners from the Coach Category will go through to the national UK Coaching Awards. Winners from the Club and Volunteering Category will be put forward to the BBC South West Awards.
