The first ever Cornwall Sports Awards, set up to honour the outstanding contributions made by dedicated sports coaches, officials, clubs, volunteers and young leaders from across the county, were held at the Burrell Theatre at Truro School on 26 May.
Special guests included Jim Clarke, the SW Regional Director of Sport England; Heather Crouch, SW Regional Sports Board and Sports Coach UK Sports Board; Henry Ashworth, Extreme Academy Newquay & South West Regional Sports Board; Julia Goldsworthy, MP Falmouth & Camborne; and Jim McKay, Head Coach Cornish Pirates RFC and Ruth Brown , Sports Leader UK
