How to Coach Children in Sport

Aimed at everyone working with children in sport, this workshop presents the basic principles of good practice and introduces the concept of long-term athlete development

By the end of this workshop coaches should be able to:
• explain the development of children within sport
• identify the differences between children and adults
• develop safe and effective coaching sessions for children

How to coach disabled people in sport

This workshop tackles all the frequently asked questions posed by sports teachers, coaches and participants about how to work with disabled sports people. This includes a whole spectrum of new ideas for inclusion; the workshop will introduce and offer guidance to any coach involved with disabled people in sport, the emphasis being to introduce coaches to the Inclusion Spectrum and effective practice

To Book: complete the above application form and send it into the Cornwall Sports Partnership office at least five days before the start date of the course unless otherwise stated.All enrolments will be confirmed by a letter stating the course details. If you do not receive confirmation, please telephone the office to ensure your application form has been received.Payment must be sent with the application form prior to the course to ensure your place.

Please do not turn up at a course without booking first as you will be turned away as we have a maximum number we can take depending on course and venue.

CANCELLATION POLICY
1. If we cancel a course, then a refund or alternative booking will be offered.
2. If a customer cancels their place, with seven or more days' notice, then a refund or alternative booking will be offered.
3. If a customer cancels with fewer than seven days' notice, there will be no refund and no alternative booking. Download the CSP Course booking form above

SCUK Certificates

N.b. All participants at sports coach UK workshops receive a certificate of attendance. All certificates are sent to the participant after the workshop. Please allow 6-8 weeks (from the workshop date) for your certificates to arrive.

SAFEGUARDING AND PROTECTING CHILDREN AND UNDER 18'S

Under 18's who are required to attend this workshop must be accompanied by a responsible adult. This person could be their parent, mentor, teacher, coach etc. It is not a requirement that the responsible adult attends as a paying delegate. If the adult does not wish to participate or receive a certificate and resource, then they will not be asked to pay.
