Clubmark
What is ClubMark?
The aim of ClubMark is to help sports clubs to develop to be the best they can be! It also ensures that young people reach their full potential, and to give parents the knowledge and confidence that their children are attending a good quality and safe club.
The Club Accreditation scheme provides a set of standard criteria which allows clubs to evaluate their own development. It also helps with developing not only their infrastructure but also other areas such as volunteering, membership and recruitment.
Clubs are assessed against 4 areas:
- Duty of Care and Child Protection
- Playing Programme
- Sports Equity and Ethics
- Club Management
ClubMark not only helps clubs to develop, but also enables participants, players' parents, local authorities and schools to assess how good a club is by looking for the accreditation logo.
How to become involved in ClubMark
Clubs need to register with their individual sport National Governing Body's accreditation scheme or with us, the Cornwall Sports Partnership. Each sport uses different methods to measure whether their clubs have reached the agreed standards. Upon reaching these standards, clubs will be awarded their NGB club accreditation mark as well as the cross-sport 'ClubMark'.
Refer to the links to the right of the page to see which clubs in Cornwall have already acheived ClubMark, and those that are currently working towards it.
