Parkwood Leisure Regional Director - South West

Parkwood Leisure is the largest division of Parkwood Holdings, operating 83 facilities to deliver a range of quality leisure and cultural services throughout the UK. A solid client base and leading position in the PFI/PPP sector has resulted in annual sales circa £70m. Parkwood Leisure is a dynamic company with a strong forward order book; we are looking for a Regional Director in the South West to continue our business success.

The South West Region boasts a portfolio of long-term, sustainable contracts in the leisure division. As Regional Director you will be responsible for overseeing facilities from Penzance in the south of the region to Bristol in the north. Within the region there are a number of quality and diverse leisure facilities that include Cardiff International Pool - one of the best facilities of its kind in the UK.  Hengrove Leisure Centre in South Bristol will open February 2012 and will be a prestigious facility offering a 50m Olympic size swimming pool, climbing wall, 150 station gym, 4 court sports hall, cafe and well-being clinic. The South West also offers two conference, meeting and events venues along with a Regional Theatre.

The successful candidate will manage and monitor the performance of each of the venues within the South West using their management skills, leading and applying structured reporting and accounting procedures to monitor key performance indicators set by the Company. You will ensure safety and quality standards are maintained throughout whilst looking to further develop our excellent client relationships through ongoing service enhancements and innovative customer focused activities.

Candidates should demonstrate the necessary ambition and drive required to impact on our organisation. You will be passionate about exceeding customer expectations, developing leisure and entertainment facilities for the local communities, be knowledgeable about the leisure industry and have a recognised, appropriate qualification in leisure management at degree level or equivalent.  You will have held a senior management position within the leisure industry and will have a strong commercial approach to business.
