Level 2 Apprenticeships with Parkwood Leisure & The Institute of Swimming (IoS)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for the right candidates to undertake an apprentice traineeship with Parkwood Leisure and the Institute of Swimming.  This programme has been developed for young people who want to pursue a career within the leisure sector with the flexibility to work in a range of environments including aquatics.

We are looking to recruit 50 promising individuals to join this company scheme across the following locations:
South East – Bexley, Dartford and Portsmouth
East – Southend, Wycombe and Cherwell
Midlands – Solihull, Staffordshire Moorlands and Rushcliffe (Nottingham)
South East – West Berkshire
South West- North Somerset, Exeter, Torbay and Penzance
Wales – Cardiff International Pool

The apprenticeship takes 9-12 Months to complete. During this time apprentices will undertake the following qualifications alongside their employment at Parkwood Leisure:

• Level 2 NVQ Coaching, Teaching and Instructing
• Level 2 Award in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning
• Level 2 ASA/UKCC Teaching Aquatics (To include Level 1 ASA/UKCC Teaching Aquatics if required)
• Level 2 National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
• Key Skills

Upon completion of your apprenticeship there will be a wide range of routes you can take within Parkwood Leisure and the industry.  You may secure full time employment in a variety of roles, and/or have the option to develop your skills further and progress onto advanced apprenticeships and further training programmes.

To apply you must be aged 16-24, not in full time education, NOT hold a degree or HND qualification and be able to swim 25 metres.
