About the role & About us
The aim of Healthy Cornwall is to improve the health of the population of Cornwall, in particular reducing health inequalities. This role holder will work as part of the Healthy Cornwall management team leading the Healthy Workplace Programme.
This is an exciting opportunity to further develop our nationally recognised Healthy Workplace programme increasing membership of the scheme across Cornwall. The role will include managing all aspects of programme delivery, introducing new schemes of work e.g. Outreach Health Checks programme and ensuring the programme continues to deliver at an exceptional level.
The post will be accountable for a broad portfolio of work including; health intelligence, assessing the effectiveness of the programme and comparing against peers nationally.
This position will be subject to an enhanced criminal record disclosure check.
This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies
Cornwall is currently negotiating devolution and as part of the deal we are actively integrating community health and social care services as the basis for improving lives.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about health promotion and healthy lifestyles with a proven track record in managing a similar scheme. The successful candidate will be a proactive leader who is able to work at a strategic level in order influence business leaders to change corporate behaviours to embed healthy lifestyles into their businesses.
The post-holder will have a relevant professional qualification such as related degree in public health or significant health promotion experience in relevant areas.
