The aim of Healthy Cornwall is to improve the health and wellbeing of the population of Cornwall, in particular reducing health inequalities. This includes working with people from areas of high deprivation or those who are socially excluded. The work of Healthy Cornwall is built upon close partnership working with a variety of sectors including health, local businesses and organisations and voluntary organisations.
The postholder will work as part of the Healthy Workplace Team supporting local businesses, employers and employees. This will include carrying out Workplace Health Assessments and healthy lifestyle interventions within a workplace setting. The post holder will also deliver education sessions in the workplace setting which will include musculoskeletal health, mental Health, physical activity, healthy eating and stop smoking.
We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who have previous experience of health improvement within a workplace setting and one of the following; Level 3 Education and Training/ Level 4 Obesity and Diabetes Management/ Level 3 Exercise Referral/ Level 4 Lower Back Pain/ Smoking Cessation/ Mental Health First Aid.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible in working regular evenings and travel within county
This position will be subject to an enhanced criminal record disclosure check.
This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies

The postholder should have excellent knowledge and understanding of health improvement and have the ability to motivate, inspire and influence employers and individuals. We are looking for individuals who are client and results focused; who are keen to develop their knowledge and skills and who are confident when working in partnership with organisations and a range of sectors.
The postholder will have a relevant professional qualification such as related degree in public health or significant (at least one year) health promotion experience in relevant areas. We welcome candidates with experience of working with both public, private and voluntary businesses and small businesses in particular
